FIG is baring it all with her newest single “Mind is Naked,” a sad indie pop and R&B anthem that will quite possibly leave you eating your feelings. Featuring an ambient introduction, smooth instrumentals, and harmonious melodies, FIG dives into her feelings of being used in an honest and relatable manner.
“Vulnerable, intimate, delicate, expressive”
FIG in response to the question to describe, “Mind is Naked”
Singapore-born and New York City-based artist FIG began making music in high school and has since taken off creating music that incorporates indie pop, r&b, alternative, and lo-fi elements. What I particularly love about FIG is that her songs feature feelings and activities that are both truthful to her, yet relatable for listeners. Additionally, her care for genuine community shines through her Cob Stand community events that encompass everything from intimate mini-concerts to community dinners and trivia nights.

FIG’s music feels like catching up at a local coffee shop with a longtime friend, warm cappuccino in hand–honest, sentimental, and maybe even evoking watery eyes by the end–and “Mind is Naked” is no different. The single’s verses feature poignant lines like, “You hold me and you fold me but you never stay involved,” and “If it hurts you being close to me, imagine how I feel.” Even FIG’s cover art is on point, featuring a drawing of her eating her feelings.
