Three New Artists You’ve Never Heard Of

After beginning this series a couple of weeks ago, I knew I wanted to introduce a couple more artists to the mix. This version specifically focuses on duos and groups that I have been recently loving, primarily focusing on indie and indie-rock groups. These artists blur the lines between genres, making their music irresistible and interesting.

Sunday (1994)

I stumbled upon this group right after they dropped their debut single, “Tired Boy,” and I was immediately drawn in by the captivating vocals and flawless production. The track brings back memories of my fondness for the Cranberries and transported me back in time. The meticulous graphic design and thoughtful strategy clearly demonstrate the dedication invested in this project. I am thoroughly impressed by the attention to detail in both their visuals and the audio. It’s evident that the group poured a great deal of effort into their project, and it has undeniably paid off. I’m eagerly anticipating the release of more of their music.

esme emerson

Upon listening to the most recent release, “Show You (Truck Song),” I was utterly enchanted by this incredibly talented duo. Their stunning vocals really stand out, immediately drawing me in. It’s fascinating to see how this brother and sister pairing find solace in their British-Chinese heritage while infusing their music with indie, folk, and electronic elements that push the boundaries of these genres.
Every time I listen to one of their songs, I feel transported to a new version of Esme Emerson. It’s as if the duo is continually pushing boundaries and crafting an innovative sound with each new track. The visual art accompanying their work is a dazzling fusion of their cultural influences, adding a transformative layer to the overall experience. I cannot wait to immerse myself in more of their music!

Mitchy

Mitchy, a talented musician from Atlanta, produces indie-pop music that resonates deeply with listeners, flowing through their veins and touching their souls. She weaves together each word with meticulous care in her songs to convey messages of personal struggle and introspection, while also creating a beautiful and intentional tapestry of emotions and experience. Mitchy’s latest song, “I HATE IT TOO,” evokes such strong emotions in me that I feel compelled to let out all my frustrations without holding back. I am genuinely thrilled to witness Mitchy’s evolution as an artist and eagerly look forward to seeing her develop further.
