yazida

Immediately, with Yazida’s new EP #meant2b, it’s obvious she brings hyperpop to her level. Yazida is a singer-songwriter from Paris creating UK garage-inspired tracks, while also molding genres together. With a deep bass carried over by her soprano voice and a up-tempo UK garage beat, “deja vu” on Yazida’s latest project showcases her ability to bring all house and pop elements together. The song about second-guessing one’s feelings on a crush makes you linger with the bouncy beat drops. With “lucky girl,” Yazida guides listeners into the dreamscape of hyperpop, giving you the dreamy state of falling for someone with the help of artist Raegun. However, you shouldn’t miss listening to “bum crush v2,” a high-tempo track with a Bollywood twist focusing on having a crush that ends badly while featuring artist Angelus. The entirety of this EP is authentic, with an atmosphere that makes you yearn for a crush that you’re better off without. Overall, this is a wonderfully crafted debut from Yazida.
