under my hands – meredith rounsley

Step aside for this Nashville based artist, Meredith Rounsley. Originally from rural Maryland, Rounsley moved to Nashville to expand her sound as a growing indie-pop musician. Her background of soul, gospel, and radio music marries with her folk and indie pop to create something totally distinctive. She released her first four-track project, Ember, in 2021 which was received with love and local enthusiasm.

Following that, Rounsley has been demonstrating her craft in the evolving Nashville music scene. Her single “Under My Hands” off her new project, Soft Animals, Strong Chemicals, showcases her intimate storytelling of desire and restraint. Guitar buzzes with textured synths harmonizes effortlessly with Rounsley’s dulcet vocals. A soft rhythm and haunting instrumentals amplifies the track with warmth that you can feel. Lyrics singing, If I get you under my hands, how am I gonna let you go again,” capture the complexities of romance. It’s the frightful lust that can so easily be hypnotizing.

“Under My Hands” is featured on Rounsley’s newest project, Soft Animals, Strong Chemicals, just released on October 27th.
