aries artists to get you through the season

Aries season is almost over, but don’t let that get you down! We’ve compiled a list of our top five Aries artists, and a deep dive to explain how the stars influence their music.

1. Audrey Nuna – April 2 – R&B, pop, trap, and hip-hop

Audrey Nuna’s skillful ability to weave R&B, pop, trap, and hip-hop throughout her records keeps the listener on the edge of their seat, and the sheer coolness of how she delivers each line makes it clear that this April-Aries will continue to shine. Lunar Pisces are known for having an all-or-nothing attitude that use their emotional aptitude and intellectual strength to size up any situation, and Nuna is able to translate that power into her music.

Listen to: Space, Sardines, changes, Cool Kids

2. Daniel Caesar – April 5 – R&B

As one of the top 10 “Most Streamed Canadian Artists of All Time,” you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who has not heard at least one song blessed by the smooth vocals of Daniel Caesar. As an April-Aries, Caesar is able to find new ways to present classic R&B ideas with every release and mix a palpable fiery passion into his effortless lyrics and melodies. His moon is in Gemini, and Lunar Geminis are known for bringing people together, having a way with words, and possessing a limitless imagination. You’ve heard “Best Part” featuring H.E.R., right? Enough said.

Listen to: Please Do Not Lean, Valentina, Death and Taxes

3. Aminé – April 18 – Hip hop, trap, R&B

After the success of the 2016 triple-platinum hit, “Caroline,” April-Aries Aminé has continued to serve hit after hit to his audience. Aminé is able to poke fun at himself and others while serving up clean beats and intricate rhymes. His moon in Cancer is evident–while he can think deeply and articulate hard subjects that might bring you to tears if contemplated too long, he does it with undeniable humor that shines even in his songs’ heaviest moments.

Listen to: Pressure in My Palms, OKWME, Beach Boy, REEL IT IN

4. Hayley Kiyoko – April 3 – Pop

April Aries (and my birthday twin) Hayley Kiyoko has had the heart of many twenty-somethings since her debut on the Disney Channel Original Movie, Lemonade Mouth, and my personal love has only grown since then. With her moon in Sagittarius, Kiyoko has an adventurous side that radiates through her songs. She’s not afraid to take risks, say how she feels, and is unapologetically real.

Listen to: Sleepover, luna, Runaway, Missed Calls

5. The 1975 – March 23 & April 8 – Pop, rock, synth-pop, indie rock, electropop, alt-rock

The 1975 is graced with two Aries in their midst- lead singer and Instagram story troll Matty Healy as an April Aries and drummer by day, coach for Fly Fishing Team USA by night (this is a joke), George Daniel, as a March Aries. The Lunar Taurus and Aquarius, respectively, make what some might think are an unlikely pair. Still, it’s clear that the two have a creative dynamic that emboldens each other to test their limits and make music that pushes boundaries, both lyrically and musically.

Listen to: People, Inside Your Mind, The 1975 (BFIAFL), Settle Down
