know you better – ky abe

Based out of Southern California, Ky Abe is an indie-pop trio consisting of lead singer, Ky, and producers Theo and Kian. Over the past three years producing and writing music from their bedroom studio, Ky Abe has crafted their unique sound, drawing inspiration from a fusion of electronic, indie, and pop music. Their latest release, “Know You Better,” beautifully blends these three genres of music together to create the perfect late-night track to listen to.

Coming in at 3 minutes and 21 seconds, “Know You Better” is a groovy tune with an infectious chorus. Ky’s elegant vocals standout against the rhythmic, saturated instrumentals as he sings,

Call you back next time / Can’t feel face I’m paralyzed / Ohh / Hit too fast ’cause I / I heard what was said / I know you better / Than I did last night / Rushing to my head / I know you better

Upon initially hearing this track, it was eerily reminiscent of “Daddy Issues” by The Neighbourhood in terms of the sound and overall vibe. If you could fuse together the voices of Conan Gray and Ryan Beatty, the product would be Ky’s distinct vocals. “Know You Better” has already made its way onto a handful of my personal playlists, and I am genuinely excited to hear more music from these three.
